Our Goal for Patients: Freedom From Addiction

Opioid and alcohol addiction are not moral failures, they result from chronic disease that changes the chemistry of the brain. At Medical Therapy Associates, you will receive compassionate, judgment-free addiction treatment from one of the most experienced Suboxone doctors in Oklahoma City. Our medically supervised detox and treatment protocols are designed to keep patients comfortable while being stabilized after long-term use of alcohol and opioids. We treat patients who are dependent on a wide range of opioids including Heroin, Morphine, Codeine, Hydrocodone, Hydromorphone, Fentanyl, Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, and Tramadol.

In recent years, our addiction treatment practice has observed an alarming growth in patients addicted to Kratom and its associated alkaloids, specifically 7-OH and the highly potent MGM-15 which are often referred to as "gas station heroin" due to their easy availability in retail convenience stores and smoke shops. These gray market opioids are frequently marketed as natural pain relievers, energy boosters, and herbal supplements, but in reality, they are powerful and addictive synthetic opioids, leading to rapid physical dependence and severe withdrawal.

Treating the Disease, Not Just the Symptoms

Alcohol and opioid withdrawal and cravings are powerful neurological responses to chronic use. Without medical supervision and care, “quitting cold turkey” can be unsafe and unsuccessful. Dr. Westcott uses evidence-based Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to rebalance the brain and stop withdrawal and cravings, so patients can finally focus on recovery.

Suboxone: A Medical Path to Stability & Recovery

We use Suboxone (Buprenorphine/Naloxone), an FDA-approved medication that:
  • Stops opioid withdrawal
  • Terminate cravings
  • Blocks the effects of opioids
  • Provides long-term stability

Alcohol Use Disorder Treatment

Dr. Westcott uses a safe and effective combination of medications to treat alcohol use disorder. Treatment depends on a person's medical history and personal situation, and is focused on keeping the patient comfortable while they reconnect with an alcohol-free world.

These approaches allow patients to return to work, rebuild relationships, and regain control of their lives.

Treatment for All Forms of Opioid Dependency

Whether your addiction began with a prescription or progressed to street drugs, we provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to assist patients in their detox journey. This includes a wide range of opioids:
  • Fentanyl & Heroin.
  • Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Percocet.
  • Hydromorphone, Oxymorphone, & Morphine.
  • Tramadol, Codeine, Meperidine.
  • Kratom, Tianeptine.
You don’t have to live in fear of opioid withdrawal. Addiction treatment by our trusted Suboxone doctors in Oklahoma City will keep you comfortable while you cleanse your body of drugs and alcohol.
